Where do you operate Sea Tours from?
We operate from Ballyhack, Co. Wexford and Dunmore East, Co. Waterford for boat trips.
What times are the boat trips?
Boats trips are run on demand. During peak season we generally operate two boat trips on specific days, allowing for variables including weather, demand and a minimum number of 8 passengers or a private booking.
How long are the Custom Boat Tours?
Boat trips are approximately 2 hours.
Are there lifejackets?
Yes, lifejackets are available for all.
What clothes should we bring?
It is often a bit chillier out on the water. We recommend bringing an extra layer and a coat, just in case.
We also recommend casual comfortable clothing, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.
Can we do a private family trip / is the boat available for private charter?
Yes, the majority of our boat tours are for private groups.
Are dogs allowed on the Sea Tours?
On a private tour, dogs are welcome as long as they are well behaved!
Is there wheelchair access?
Unfortunately we do not have wheelchair access at the moment, this is something we are working on. Feel free to contact directly and we can see if we can make something work for your particular needs.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Certainly. Hot water is available on the Orinoco for tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks on board.
Will bad weather affect the tours?
The tours going ahead will be subject to weather. Therefore, they may be cancelled due to poor weather conditions. We monitor the weather forecast to try give as much notice as possible, however, there are times it could be a same day cancellation. If the weather is not too severe, we can alter our lower estuary trips and tour up river which offers more shelter but the same volume of attractions and material.
If we need to cancel due to weather, we will give a full refund and will be happy to book for another day.
Is it ok to bring children?
Of course. We offer a family friendly service that is fun for all the family. We give children the opportunity to skipper the boat under supervision if they wish.
How long is a sea angling trip?
Angling trips are usually 6 hours fishing. This can be extended / shortened according to the customer’s wishes.
Where do you fish?
Generally approximately 4 miles off Hook Lighthouse. Other areas on request.
Is rod hire available?
Yes. Rod hire is available at a fee of €10 per rod and reel. Tackle is extra.
